During the 14th century Mansa Musa I insisted on bringing the smartest and most talented architects, engineers, and builders together from various cultures to develop the Mali Empire. The buildings of the Mali Empire, such as the Sankore Mosque at the University of Timbuktu, are still standing today and have become international symbols of Africa’s rich pre-colonial history. Similar to Mansa Musa I, at Grintel Capital we bring the best in class together to develop buildings that will stand the test of time and service communities.
Grintel Capital was founded by, Gilbert Lowe III, P.E., an engineer and businessman that grew up in the Reed & Roberts Place housing development in the Hill District of Pittsburgh. Gil’s passion for revitalizing neighborhoods inspired his vision for Grintel Capital to transform abandoned blocks into thriving communities. He described the feeling he experienced, after observing two parents of different households bringing their children together to meet each other upon moving into a new Grintel Capital development that was once an abandoned street, as priceless. Grintel Capital seeks to incorporate energy efficiency and technology in its developments to create a Green Intelligent Living experience.
